HOW DO I GET ONE?
The AHMS Grand Slam Medal is the ultimate award for a season-long achievement. It must be earned and the rules for awarding are both strict and immutable. Read about them here.
Rule One | Record a finish time at a minimum of four of the following events; Devonport, Millwater, Omaha, Hobsonville, Coatesville and Maraetai.
Rule Two | No more than one of the finish times recorded for Rule One can be a "virtual" finish time.
Rule Three | If you finish five or all-six lead up events (still only one virtual allowed) then you can qualify for "halo" awards (check later for more info)
Rule Four | You must check your name appears on the official qualification list, which is published here in the final weeks leading up to the Grand Finale
Rule Five | You must finish the Waterfront Half Marathon in person and collect your Grand Slam medal (+ any halos) at the event venue on race day.
Grand Slam Qualification List 2026/27
A list of those qualified for a Grand Slam medal will be published here prior to the 2027 Waterfront Half Marathon.
Ensure your name is there because if you are not on the list, you will be going home empty handed.
